About the UKSSB

The United Kingdom Spine Societies Board (UKSSB) is an organisation composed of National Spinal Societies:

 

 

The Board includes representatives of the British Orthopaedic Association (BOA), the Society of British Neurological Surgeons (SBNS), along with co-opted members.

​

The object of UKSSB is to promote the development of treatment of spinal disorders through education, study and research for the benefit of the public and the United Kingdom.

​

To pursue these objectives, but not by way of limitation, the UKSSB will have the following powers:

  

  • To foster and encourage instruction, training and research in spinal disorders.

  • To hold a scientific and educational meeting entitled “BritSpine” every 2 years.

  • To maintain an accurate mailing list of the total members of the SBPR, BSS, BASS, BASCIS and NSN.

  • To maintain a mailing list of individuals with an interest in spinal disorders.

  • To maintain a mailing list of national and international professional organisations with an interest in spinal disorders.

  • To maintain a mailing list of industrial organisations with an interest in the spine.

  • To promote and facilitate the dissemination of information on spinal disorders, including meetings, courses, research and publications.

  • To encourage co-operation between national organisations with interests in spinal disorders.

  • To promote international collaboration in the field of spinal disorders.
