Abstract Submission Portal has REOPENED

Deadline for submissions - 6 January 2021

All previously accepted abstracts from the postponed BritSpine event which were due to be presented in Glasgow will be carried over, and all rejected abstracts can be resubmitted or reworked for submission, along with the opportunity for new submissions.

Submission Portal can be found here:

Following the Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak earlier this year, we made the decision to move the BritSpine conference and exhibition to 2021. Further developments, including the continuation of the Louisa Jordan Hospital at the SEC Centre in Glasgow into 2021 means that we will be taking BritSpine online for the first time ever in March 2021.

While we put the finishing touches to this change, we want to keep all our constituent society members, registered delegates, sponsors, abstract submitters, and all who are interested in this combined meeting of the UK Spine Societies, updated on the progress.

Further information including registration, programme and sponsorship will be posted here at and @BritSpine on Twitter in the coming weeks.

Until then, please find below some Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

I have already registered for BritSpine, will I still be registered for this online event?

Yes. All registrations will be carried over for this online event and you will not need to re-register. You will be emailed with specific details of your ticket (once we reopen registrations), including any partial refunds that may be due to you.

Will BritSpine offer CPD/CME points for delegates?

Yes. Our event is accredited by the Royal College of Surgeons of England (RCSEng) and attendees will receive CPD/CME accreditation upon completion of a post-event survey.

Will BritSpine be accepting new abstracts?

Yes. Whilst we have already been through an abstract collection and selection process, we have reopened the abstract portal to new submissions and reworks of rejected abstracts. Visit for further information.

I am an existing/interested exhibitor or sponsor, how will BritSpine provide sponsorship and exhibition opportunities online?

The BritSpine organisers are working with a virtual event platform provider to put together an exciting variety of sponsorship packages to suit the budgets of all of our commercial partners, irrespective of the size of the business. We are confident that every company attending this unique online UK spinal meeting will have a successful event presenting their products and services to over 600 interested surgeons, spine care practitioners, and academics.

We will be putting out a sponsorship opportunities pack and communicating to existing and previous sponsors in the coming weeks.
